conveniencetoday i typed in gystararahl for blogger and i manages to login previously i had to type in gystararahl@gmail.com before i could even see a glimpse of this page ahh, things are so convenient now another week has gone by im now standing at the climatic juncture of this summer classes' nx week i face yet another barrage of midterms and the week after that, its finals week. Im inclined to blog about the AX concert, which was horribly organized. lets see. Well, the concert was set to start at 4.30, and they said seating will begin at 3? i got premier tix for both me and keith, so we werent that worried, at the beginning, at least. the line got REALLY REALLY long, and the sun, was so strong. it wouldnt have been a problem, except the line wasnt MOVING apparently people were trying to sneak cameras into the arena and they really wanted to purge that. so everyone is like, checked 5 times so they're doubly doubly sure you're not like going to try to get Aya's pantsu. we were seated like 10 rows away from the main stage. i think there must have been like, 200 rows in total so we got pretty good seats, i thought. in the end we got seated at like 6, which was the time when the concert started too. and you know, even though im quite the hardcore otaku, the people i was surrounded by were fanatics. i felt a little... uncomfortable? maybe thats not exactly the right word... There was the guy seating beside me who'd shout 'aishiteru!' and there was the guy seated beside keith who'd shout 'TIMOTEI!' i loled. ^_^ the guy 2 seats in front stood on the chairs to do the hare hare yukai dance. the girl behind him couldnt see despite already standing on the chair herself. i thought that was pretty sad. and the seiyuus were awesomely kawaii~ im convinced the make up really changes them. even yuko goto, perhaps the least attractive one of them, looked really cute. I enjoyed the performance thoroughly, i must admit. despite all the technical... difficulties and... differences... and... suckiness... where to begin this rant i guess the first difficulty was the language barrier the seiyuus spoke little to no english, and had to have someone translate for them it was... weird. and sometimes the translator would just engage in a private conversation with them and i felt left out =< there wasnt enough mics to go around. frequently there would be like 3 people on stage, and there just werent enough mics to go around. they had to share and shit. i mean, com'on. <_< patricia, the hawt haruhi-cosplaying ASOS leader not only had too much make up on, wasnt exactly too good a host the inexperience shows, i guess. fortunately johnny came up, and i guess since he handles anime tv he's better at dealing with people on stage in front of a crowd he was also quite apt at tickling my funny bone. + 5 humor. the performances were also bad i guess it comes from the fact that seiyuus are, afterall, seiyuus and not artists aya had a problem with her mic control in the sense that sometimes certain syllables were a lot louder than they should be. im guessing since she's holding onto the mic, she has to have more practice in dealing with the mouth-mic distance. i guess im more critical of aya because she's so cute. <3 also, they were all about 1 second behind the karaoke of the song. i suppose the earphones that they're wearing has like a 1 second delay. or they're just nervous. im picky. it should have been better. However, i think Aya found out later, or the delay problem was fixed because she sang lost my music just fine, and so was the final hare hare yukai performance. Also, the karaoke versions of lost my music and god knows... doesnt have yuki's awesome guitar there was a total emptiness in the interludes because the electric guitar was somehow... not present. it was disappointing. =< but seeing aya as herself like in her REAL AWESOME FORM was just too good to be true. |
